Types of Lighting
There are four types of lighting. Here are the definations of all of them
Ambient lighting;
With Ambient lighting, the undefined area of a room are filled with a soft level of general light, say enough for someone to watch television by or navigate safetly through the room.An Ambient glow not only make the room more inviting , it helps people look their best, filling in harsh shadows created by stonger point sources.
Accent lighting

Accent lighting is a form of lighting used most commonly for illuminating walks with subtle light. However, this form of lighting can also be used to highlight key objects and focal points in the home or surrounding landscape. For instance, many people like to display particular pieces of artwork or other collectible items in their home. Others may choose to highlight water features or plants in the garden. When adding light to a specific object, it can help create or set a particular mood to the area as well.Some of the most common accent lighting fixtures include track, recessed and wall-mounted lights
Task lighting

Task light is what you need to do a specific job, whether it's reading, working at a computer, cooking, drawing or sewing. It needs to be focused on the area you're using.
If light seeps out, you're likely to get glare from other surfaces, especially computer screens. Therefor the task lighting should be free of distracting glare and shadows and should be bright enough to prevent eyestrain .Task lights come with tungsten, halogen or fluorescent bulbs.
DECORATIVE LIGHTING
These fixtures draw attention to themselves as objects. The classic chandelier, decorative strip lights , sconces are some of the examples of decorative lightings
